The Fragmented World
After the Great Dissolution, the world as it had been known underwent a systemic collapse that radically transformed planetary geography. The causes were multiple: chained pandemics, failed biotechnological experimentation, climate change, and tectonic imbalances resulting from intensive resource extraction.
Hybrid Biomes and Mutated Zones
New ecosystems emerged that defy previous classifications:
- Coral Jungles: humid forests where ancient coral reefs emerged and adapted to the terrestrial environment. Highly biodiverse, they are a source of bioactive fossils and luminescent spores.
- Fungal Plains: territories contaminated by biological wars. Colonies of intelligent fungi cover abandoned cities, absorbing toxins and emitting pheromones that alter animal behavior.
- Resonant Valleys: regions where matter was altered after the first contact with the Star Weavers. Some materials have echo-memory properties: they replicate ancient sound or visual patterns.
- Radiant Skies: elevated atmospheric zones where Hydrovelan flotillas thrive. The currents are stable and the prevailing winds allow for safe routes. The skies are covered by barely visible crystalline structures that reflect sunlight in complex patterns.
- Reactive Subterraneans: beneath the surface, the Nanocodax inhabit vast networks of conditioned tunnels, surrounded by strata of minerals that have mutated, becoming data conductors or natural microwave emitters.
Forbidden or Unknowable Zones
Some regions were isolated after catastrophic events or prolonged contact with the Star Weavers:
- The Null Vertex: a space-time fault in constant motion. Nothing that enters returns the same. All factions agree to avoid it.
- Dust Towers: former vertical cities now uninhabitable, buried beneath storms of self-replicating nanodust. Entering without total protection means molecular disintegration.
- The Sleeping Rift: a continental fissure where rumors say the first voices of the Star Weavers resounded. Expeditions either disappear or return altered.

Human Adaptations
Each faction has learned to read the environment and synchronize with it:
- The Solarnati cultivate edible landscapes, design spontaneous-pollination gardens, and turn abandoned structures into “living ruins”.
